Newly Reimagined Seat Signage
The Maptician seat signage experience has been completely rebuilt with a modernized design and a significantly expanded set of configuration options. The updated signage displays real-time seat availability, occupant information, presence status, and upcoming reservations in a clean, professional layout that can be tailored to match your office environment.
New configuration options give you greater control over what appears on each device, including:
- Presence Badge: Display the current occupant's presence status (On Site, Remote, or Away) pulled from your calendar and presence integration in real time.
- QR Code: Show a scannable QR code linking to the Maptician reservation calendar for that seat, with the option to set a custom destination URL.
- Signage Background: Choose from Light Mode, Dark Mode, a custom color, or a custom uploaded image with an optional blur effect to keep content readable.
- Settings Access Code: Similar to Meeting Room Signage, this optional numeric PIN restricts access to the Seat Information panel directly on the device, preventing unauthorized users from viewing seat details such as Wi-Fi credentials or seat restrictions.
The signage automatically adapts its layout for smaller screen sizes, displaying a compact view optimized for devices with narrower displays. All seat signage devices can be monitored and managed centrally from IT & Cloud > Seat Signage, where you can refresh, reset, update, or generate new login URLs for individual devices or in bulk.
➡️ Maptician's New Seat Signage

View Service Details from Any Reservation Report
Reservation reports now display a compact "X Service(s)" link in place of full inline service details, improving load times and scroll performance for reports with large amounts of data. Clicking the link opens the Reservation Details dialog directly on the Services tab, giving you the same complete view without the performance impact.
This applies to viewing reports inside Maptician only. Exported and automated reports continue to include full service data as before.

Group Finder Results by Map Name
The Group By option in Finder now includes a Map Name grouping, making it easier to browse resources when a location spans multiple floors/maps. When selected, the Finder list breaks down available resources by their map, so instead of seeing all resources from a multi-floor location listed together, they are organized by the individual maps for quicker scanning.

Lobby Signage Improvements
Lobby signage now gives you more granular control over what is displayed on the map. The Seats and People settings are now independent, allowing seat icons to be shown on the map without revealing employee names, photos, or assignment information. Previously, hiding the People option would automatically hide Seats as well.
You can also now set the auto-rotate interval to zero to disable automatic map rotation entirely. Previously, the minimum value was 5 seconds, forcing the auto-rotation of maps to be enabled if the lobby signage object was set to display multiple floor maps for a location.

Clickable Links on Map Points of Interest
Map POI objects like Wifi, Printer, Scanner, and Copy/Print Center points of interest can now have a clickable link attached directly in the Map Editor. An optional label field lets you set a custom display name for the link, such as "Driver Download Page." If no label is entered, the URL is displayed as-is.
The link appears in the resource panel when users select the map object from the map view on both the desktop and mobile applications.

Direct Reservation Links in Email Notifications
Reservation-related emails now include a direct link that opens the full reservation details with a single click. Previously, email links would take you to the general map view, requiring additional navigation to find the specific booking.
This applies to reservation creation and update emails, notification list emails, reservation summary emails, and approval-related emails where viewing the reservation details is the appropriate next step.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue where manually printing a report could cause the browser tab to crash instead of opening the print dialog. Printing should now work reliably across all modern browsers.
- Fixed an issue where the automated Seat Reservation Log and Room Reservation Log reports could be missing reservations that would appear correctly when running the same reports manually.

Safer Edits to Recurring Reservations
You will soon be able to edit an entire recurring series at once in Maptician, and edits made to those meetings in Outlook will sync back without dropping your reservation details, such as services, catering, and attendees. It's the first step toward more flexible, reliable recurring reservations, with more improvements on the way.
