Hide Layers Lock Layers

Within Maptician, different types of objects fall within different layers. For example, all seats are considered one layer, while architecture (walls, doors, etc.) is considered another layer. Within Map Editor, you can hide or lock different layers on the map to make map editing easier. For example, if you need to make edits to seats, it may be beneficial to hide and lock all other layers while making these changes.

Hide Layers

To hide layers, follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the Map Editor tab.
  2. Click Load Map.
  3. Select the location and map desired.
  4. Click Load.
  5. In the menu to the right, navigate to the Layers tab.
  6. In the Visibility tab, click on the layers you wish to hide. Note: Layers displayed in blue are currently visible. Layers displayed in gray are not visible.

Note: When layers are hidden, they are still editable. If you want to prevent a layer from being edited, you must also lock it.
