What is an Owned Reservable seat and how is it created?

An Owned Reservable Seat can be restricted down to a person(s) or department(s). The permitted reservers are assigned that seat, but have the ability to reserve it so others know when they plan to be in.

How to create an Owned Reservable seat Open an Owned Reservable Seat Converting an Assigned Seat to an Owned Reservable

When one person has their own office but wants to make reservations so others will know when they plan to be in, an Owned Reservable seat is the way to go. You can also restrict a desk to multiple individuals or departments to reserve.

How to create an Owned Reservable seat

  1. Open the desired map in Map Editor.
  2. Click on the desired seat (hold down the Ctrl key to select multiple seats) and select "Reservable" for Seat Usage under the Info tab.
  1. Navigate to the Restrictions tab.
  2. Click on the Permitted Reserver(s) or Permitted Department(s) drop-down to select who the seat is for.
  1. Once you have selected the name(s) of who can reserve the seat, click "Set".
  1. Save and Close the map.

Open an Owned Reservable Seat

If you want to open up the seat if the "owner" does not reserve in, you can allow others to reserve into the seat outside of the permitted reservers group. To do so, check the box for "Remove Restrictions based on Time" within the Restrictions tab for the seat. The timeframe of the removed restriction can be set within "Days Within Allowed".

Converting an Assigned Seat to an Owned Reservable

If seats have already been assigned to individuals, they can quickly be converted to Owned Reservable seats.

  1. Navigate to Map Editor.
  2. Open the map in which you'd like to set up the Owned Reservable seat.
  3. Select the seat in which you plan to convert to Owned Reservable.
  4. Click on the Restrictions tab.
  5. Click the button "Convert to Owned Reservable".
    1. Note that once this has been selected, the occupant to whom the seat belongs has now been added automatically to the Permitted Reserver(s) just below. If the seat was not yet assigned, you will need to add a Permitted Reserver.
  6. If the seat was not already assigned to someone, click into Permitted Reservers and set who the seat is "owned" by.
