When editing maps within either the Assignments or Map Editor tabs, users must remember to save changes and close out of the map once they are finished. However, there may be times when maps remain locked if this action is not performed.
You have the ability to see who has a map locked, when it was last accessed by that user, and to unlock the map if needed.
Note: We strongly recommend that you check with the user who has the map locked to ensure they have saved all changes before you unlock it.
Unlock a Map
To unlock a map, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Locations tab.
- In the top menu, click Manage Maps.
- Select the map you would like to unlock and, in the top right corner, click the Unlock Map icon.
The system then verifies if you wish to unlock the map and reminds you that any unsaved changes will be lost:
After unlocking a map, click the Refresh Table button in the upper-right corner. This updates the page to reflect that the map has been unlocked:
Lock a Map
You can also lock a map from this page if needed. Follow the same process outlined above, but click the Lock Map icon instead.
