Recurring Reservation Series Management
It is finally here! Maptician now supports full lifecycle management for recurring reservations. When modifying a recurring reservation, you can now choose to edit a single occurrence or the entire series, giving you the flexibility to make a quick change to one date or apply updates across the board.
➡️ How do I edit a recurring reservation series?
When you open a recurring reservation, the form defaults to editing just that single occurrence, so there is no risk of accidentally changing the whole series.

To apply changes across the board, simply switch to "the entire series" using the dropdown in the reservation form. Editing the whole series applies shared changes, including title, description, attendees, locations, services, categories, privacy, and buffer times, to every occurrence at once. Any fields that were individually customized on a specific occurrence keep their own values, so a series-wide edit will never overwrite a deliberate change made to a single date.
The date/time and recurrence pattern cannot be changed when editing a series at this time. These fields will be set as read-only in the reservation form.
A Review Series Changes preview shows exactly what each occurrence will receive before saving. When adding a room or seat to a series, only resources available across all dates in the series are shown, and conflicts are checked against every occurrence before saving.

Coming in a Future Release
We are not done! A follow-up to recurring reservation management is currently in the works that will add the ability to change the time of day and recurrence pattern of an existing series. A confirmation step will show exactly which dates are added, kept, or dropped before saving, and a new permission setting will control who is allowed to make schedule-level changes to a series.
Reopen Closed My Tasks
Assigned responders and task managers can now reopen a service task ticket that was closed accidentally. A Reopen button appears in the Task Details modal for any closed task, available within a configurable time window set per location.

From the admin settings under Locations > Reservations, you can configure how long the reopen window stays open after a task is closed. The default is 14 days, and setting the window to 0 disables reopening for that location entirely.

Photo Upload for Resource Groups
You can now upload a custom photo for Room Groups and Seat Groups directly from the Map Editor. When a resource group has a photo, it appears in the Map Viewer when the group is selected, on resource group tiles in the Calendar, and as a fallback image for individual rooms within the group that do not have their own photo.

Room List with Seat Details Report
A new Room List with Seat Details report is now available, showing every room alongside the seats it contains in a single flat table. Each row represents one seat and includes room details such as location, map, room type, and area, along with seat type, usage classification, and current occupant or availability status. Rooms with no seats still appear as a single row, so nothing is omitted.
Employee ID Added to Monthly Presence Summary by Location Report
The Monthly Presence Summary by Location report now includes each user's Employee ID, making it easier to reconcile presence data with HR and attendance systems. The Employee ID column appears between the Location and Name columns in both the on-screen report and exported files. Users without an Employee ID on file will show a blank value in that column.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved a privacy issue where users without access to a private reservation could view its full details by opening the Reservation Details dialog. Private reservations now correctly display limited information to unauthorized viewers, consistent with how they appear elsewhere in the application.
- Resolved an issue where using "Apply to other locations" in a service form would not copy External Reference Code fields and Numeric Dropdown fields to the other locations, leaving them blank despite being filled out.
- Resolved an issue with the Brivo integration where syncing user IDs could assign the Brivo ID to an inactive or deleted user account instead of the active duplicate account, causing presence entries to not be logged under the correct user.
