Introducing Room Reservation Requests

We are excited to introduce the Room Reservation Requests feature, allowing users to easily submit room reservation requests through a request form. This feature is ideal for organizations that want to review and approve room bookings before they are finalized. It is particularly useful in situations where certain rooms require oversight or when users need assistance finding a space that meets specific requirements, such as room type or available amenities. This feature streamlines the reservation process and allows Request Managers to efficiently review and approve requests.

Calendar Sync Status in Calendar

To help you more easily monitor resources using bi-directional calendar sync, we have added the external calendar sync status directly to the reservation calendar. This update makes it easier to see at a glance whether a resource is actively syncing or if there is an issue preventing it from syncing properly.

Water Fountain POI

We have added a Water Fountain POI available in the Map Editor with two options: Water Fountain (drinking fountain) and Water Cooler.

Bug Fixes

• Resolved an issue where, in some instances, users were still able to move reservations in Maptician from a resource room which assigned as the organizer in Outlook.
• In environments configured with specific calendar sync settings that prevent Maptician from reading a user’s Outlook calendar (e.g. Strict Mode), Outlook-originated events will now be correctly protected from being canceled in Maptician.
