Signage App Settings
This is the username that you will use to log into the Seat Signage web app for each seat. Once you have entered the name of your choosing, check the box next to Enable Seat Signage app for this seat and click the green Save Changes.
⚠️ IMPORTANT
The User Name field has a 5-character minimum and a 20-character maximum, and is case-sensitive.

Optional Steps
- Prevent Signage Reservations: To disable any reservation from being made via the device (including the seat the signage is configured for) check this box. This is useful for when just using the device as a signage item to display reservations for that seat.
- Disable reservation creation from the "Find Seat" in the Signage app: This allows users to still quick book the seat itself via the Home tab, but will not allow them to make reservations for other seats in the Find Seat tab at the bottom of the screen.
-
Signage Type: Use this dropdown to select from our list of supported devices. Some signage types provide extra capabilities with the devices where applicable (i.e. light signage support), but setting this field even if your device doesn't have light bar capabilities is still useful for managing and tracking what seats are configured with specific devices, especially if using a variety of devices.
- Crestron - used for Crestron Room Scheduling Touch Screen devices and has light bar capabilities.
-
Crestron Desk Touch (TSS-470) - used for the Crestron Desk Scheduling Touch Screen (Desk Touch) device.
- Note: this device is pending certification with Crestron.
- Crestron Room Touch Screen (TSS-770) - used to specify the exact TSS-770 Room Scheduling Touch Screen and has light bar capabilities. This option also provides an

- Enable QR code on Signage: If the seat signage type and signage design allow for it, a QR code can be shown inside the signage, allowing users to scan the code via their mobile device and create seat reservations by logging in through the mobile application.
ℹ️ NOTE
The "Enable QR code on Signage" feature only applies when the signage type selected is either the Crestron Desk Touch (TSS-470) or the Room Touch Screen (TSS-770/1070) options.
Set Signage Password
Enter the password that will be used for logging into the seat signage application. The password must be between 8 and 15 characters, and contain an uppercase, a lowercase, and a numeric character. Once entered, click the green Set Password button.

⚠️ IMPORTANT
We suggest creating a separate list of usernames and passwords for each seat you configure.
Set Settings Access Code
This setting is optional. Entering a short numeric access code here (1-12 digits) will restrict access to the settings menu in the Seat Signage app. Click the green Set Password button after entering the optional access code.

Signage Background Image
This setting is optional and allows you to upload a custom background image for the Seat Signage application. To upload a background image:
- Click the Load Image button to select your image file.
- Once selected, click Set Image. The image will be displayed and available for selection within the Seat Signage app.
- In the Seat Signage application, choose your uploaded image as the background or refresh the application on the signage panel.

Close Active Sessions
This allows you to force close all active sessions for a seat signage app. If you click the red Close Active Sessions button, you will need to log back into Seat Signage on that specific device.

ℹ️ NOTE
This only closes all sessions and logs out the seat account for the seat that you are viewing the settings for.
Calendar Sync
This feature is optional. If it is enabled, it will allow Maptician to sync seat calendar events between Maptician's internal reservation calendar and an external calendar. This sync may be uni-directional or bi-directional, depending on the selection. Instructions for configuring Calendar Sync can be found here: Microsoft Entra (Azure) Calendar Sync
Managing and Reporting
Seat Signage devices can also be managed from the Manage Seat Signage section, which is located under IT & Cloud > Seat Signage
-
Information such as Seat Location, Type, User Name, and Login URL is available here.
- The Login URL is a link that can be used to bypass the Seat Signage login screen for more information about the Direct Login URL.
- Your device controls are also here, where you can perform a device refresh, a reset, check for a version update (if one is available), and create a new direct login URL.

Managing User Access
By default, all Admin user types have full access to the Manage Seat Signage screen and all seats configured with seat signage. For non-Admin users, access is controlled through their Permission Group. To enable access for these users, the following two settings must be enabled in the Reports & Analytics section:
- Available Reports > Seat Signage Status
-
Available Content by Location
- These settings determine, by location, which Seat Signage devices a user can access.

Reporting for Seat Signage
This section is available under the Reports section in Maptician.
- Report Name: Seat Signage Status
- Available Info: Seat Location, Seat Name, Seat Type, User Name, Version of Seat Signage Application, IP Address and Settings Code.
