Getting Started
Step 1: Sign into Your Okta Account
Step 2: Create the Maptician Application in Okta
Navigate to Applications and click the Create App Integration button.
Step 3: Select SAML 2.0 for the Integration
Select SAML 2.0 and click Next.
Step 4: Enter the Maptician Application Name
For the App name, enter "Maptician" and click Next.
Step 5: Enter the SAML Information
Enter the SAML information as shown below. Enter your Maptician subdomain where it says "YourSubdomain," then click the Next button at the bottom of the page.
- Single sign-on URL:
https://YourSubdomain.maptician.com/saml/acs
- Audience URI (SP Entity ID):
https://YourSubdomain.maptician.com/saml/acs
Step 6: Complete the Integration Setup
Click Finish (no need to enter any of the optional information). Single Sign-On is now configured in Okta.
Step 7: Copy the Metadata URL
Under the Sign On tab (for Single Sign-On), copy the Metadata URL using the copy button. This Metadata URL will need to be entered into your Maptician environment to activate SSO as described in the next step.

Step 8: Configure the SSO Settings in Maptician
- Navigate to: Settings > Environment > Single Sign-on (SSO)
- Set the SSO Provider to Okta (1)
- Paste your Metadata URL into the SAML Metadata URL field (2)
- Optional: To restrict users to SSO-only logins, check the box for “Restrict Users to SSO Logins” (3)
- When done, click the green SAVE CHANGES button (4)
