Have you already created a Maptician app integration in Okta?

Before beginning the process of setting up your Okta account to automatically provision users into Maptican, make sure you already completed the steps in the Okta Single Sign-on Setup Guide which walks you through the process of creating an app integration in Okta.

Getting Started

Step 1: Log into your Okta Portal

Once logged in, click on the General tab and then the Edit button.

Step 2: Enable SCIM Provisioning

Select the “Enable SCIM provisioning” option and then click Save.

Step 3: Edit and Configure the SCIM Connection

Click on the Provisioning tab, and then click the Edit button to configure the Provisioning SCIM Connection.

Step 4: Enter the Authorization Token and Test the Connector

Configure the Provisioning SCIM Connection settings as shown below.

  • SCIM connector base URL: https://YourSubdomain.maptician.com/scim/v2
  • The Authorization (Bearer) Token is supplied to you by Maptician
  • Once the Authorization Token is entered, click the “Test Connector Configuration” button

Step 5: Confirm Successful Test and Save Configuration

A successful test is shown below.  Click Close and then be sure to click the Save button.  You will then be taken to the Provisioning settings page as shown in the next step.

Step 6: Start App Configuration

Next, the “To App” settings need to be configured by clicking on the Edit button as shown below.

Step 7: Enabling Settings for Provisioning to App

Enable the following: Create users, Update User Attributes, and Deactivate Users.  Be sure to click the Save button when done.

Step 8: Complete App Configuration and Assign Users

This completes the standard configuration for Provisioning. You can now assign users to the Maptician application and adjust the Attribute Mappings if needed.
