Features Added

A Redesigned Visits Experience

Managing visitors is now faster from start to finish. The Visits page has been rebuilt with clearer Visits, Signage, and Visitors tabs, a date-grouped list, and a consolidated Sort & Filter panel where you can narrow by location, host, date, and type, search within any filter list, and hide visits where every visitor has already checked out. You can export the list to CSV or print it across multiple pages, and non-admin users now see the visits they host.

➡️ How do I create and manage visits?

Selecting a visit opens a Visit Details side panel with visit, host, and visitor information, notes, and each visitor’s check-in/check-out times, plus tap-to-call and tap-to-email. You can check visitors in and out and print badges without leaving the panel. Creating or editing a visit is now a single step in a side panel, with duplicate-visitor detection, end times set by duration, visitor photo upload, and a check that stops the same email from being added twice to one visit.

For visitors without an appointment, the new Quick Walk-in option lets you create a visit and check visitors in at the same time. Email is now optional, both on desktop and at the Signage kiosk for Meeting, Interview, Friends & Family, and Delivery visits, and returning visitors are matched by email, phone, or name to avoid duplicates. A visitor with no email or phone number needs to be checked in manually, since no invite or QR code can be sent.

Improved Room Signage Experience

Room panels have a new look and feel. The main screen can now show your company logo, clear availability status, and quick-booking options, and buttons respond visibly to touch and show a busy state while an action is working. The system menu has also been refreshed.

➡️ Meeting Room Signage

Room panels can now ask people to identify themselves before booking or cancelling, using a phone number, an employee ID, or a QR code scan, so reservations are attributed to the actual person instead of the device. Extending or ending a meeting early still works directly from the panel.

For admins, room signage can now be configured at the company, location, and room level, with locations and rooms able to override the company default, and a Resync All action pushes settings out to devices. The rebuilt Manage Room Signage view adds a device details panel, filters, and refreshed status indicators.

Quick Actions Within Reach on Every Tab

A new floating action button sits in the bottom bar on every tab. Tap it to Book a Room, Book a Seat, Log Presence, or turn on Do Not Disturb, no matter where you are in the app.

The bottom bar also has a refreshed look as a floating pill. Because these actions are now always available, the Quick Actions cards have been removed from Home, which now opens directly on Up Next.

A New Navigation Drawer on Mobile

Tap the menu icon on Home, Maps, People, or Calendar to open the new navigation drawer. From here you can reach Parcel Management (if you have access), your account settings (Profile, Social, Preferences, Change Password, and Legal), the app version, and Log Out. Change Password appears if your account uses a password rather than single sign-on.

The drawer replaces the Options tab, so the bottom bar now has four tabs. Every account page works as before, and when you leave one, you return to the tab you came from.

Choose When to Update

In most cases, Maptician no longer updates on its own when a new version is ready. Instead, you choose when to refresh. On desktop, a red dot appears on your profile button, and Update Available, Refresh shows in the profile menu until you refresh. On mobile, a similar button appears in the menu, directly above Log Out.

Seat and Room Deep Links Through the API

If you build your own integrations on Maptician’s public API, the GET Seats API now includes a deep link for each seat that opens that seat in the Maptician mobile app. It is the same link used by the default QR code on Seat Signage when it is enabled, so you can show or print a scannable code without building the link yourself. A new GET Rooms endpoint also makes rooms available through the API for the first time, with a deep link that opens each room in the mobile app.

Manage Your Email Notifications

Reservation request and parcel emails now include an unsubscribe link that opens a simple preferences page, with no login required, where you can turn individual email types on or off, or unsubscribe from them all with a single save. These preferences apply to email only, so text messages are not affected.

Bug Fixes

  • The nightly Brivo user and site sync could stop partway for companies with larger Brivo user accounts when Brivo temporarily limited how quickly requests could be made. The sync now handles large user lists more effectively, so the sync can finish.
  • Calendar sync could move a booking onto a non-reservable room when two rooms shared the same calendar address, which made reservations appear to disappear. Bookings now stay on the correct room.
  • Fixed an issue in the Reports list where searching, clearing a search, or toggling a category or Favorites filter did not return you to the top of the list. Now, any time you search or adjust filters, the list automatically scrolls back to the top so your results are immediately visible.
  • Improved how the app delivers updates, so the newest version of Maptician loads more consistently after a release.
