Overview How to Copy a Reservation Important Notes

Overview

You can duplicate an existing reservation in Maptician using the Copy action in the Finder view. This is useful when you want to book the same event or meeting in a different room or at a different location without re-entering all the details from scratch.

How to Copy a Reservation

  1. Navigate to Home > Finder and locate the reservation you want to copy on the timeline.
  2. Click the reservation block to open the Reservation Details pop-up.
  1. Click Copy Reservation. A dialog will appear showing all the current details of the reservation.
  1. Select a Primary Location and the specific resource where you want to copy the reservation.
  1. Click Continue.
    • Maptician opens the Reservation Calendar for the destination resource. Review and update any details before saving the new reservation.

Important Notes

The following details from the original reservation are not copied over:

  • Services: All service information must be re-entered manually.
  • Recurring rules: Recurrence is removed. The copied reservation becomes a single, one-time event.
  • Multiple locations: Only the location selected in the Copy Reservation pop-up is included in the new reservation.

💡 TIP

If you want to move a reservation to a different resource rather than duplicate it, use the Move action instead. See the Maptician Finder Guide for more details on the Move Reservation flow.
