Set Yourself as Unavailable Turning Do Not Disturb On or Off On Desktop On Mobile Where “Do Not Disturb” Appears Seat Signage How “Do Not Disturb” Works with Presence

Set Yourself as Unavailable

Do Not Disturb gives you a way to signal that you should not be interrupted, on desktop and mobile alike. Turn it on from the moon icon in your desktop sidebar or the moon button in the mobile Home header, and your status updates immediately everywhere, with no refresh needed, on either device.

Once it is on, a Do Not Disturb badge appears on your profile image across the Occupant Directory, Manage Occupant Presence, dashboard widgets, map search, and seat details, along with the mobile People page, Favorites, tag member lists, and person detail views. Opening someone's profile also shows how long they have had Do Not Disturb on, in their own time zone. Seat signage displays a clear Do Not Disturb banner. It works alongside your existing presence status, online, remote, or on leave, rather than replacing it.

Turning Do Not Disturb On or Off

On Desktop

  1. Locate the moon icon above your account avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  2. Click the icon to turn Do Not Disturb on. Click it again to turn it off.

When it is on, the icon fills with the Do Not Disturb accent color. Your status change reaches every open session within a few seconds, with no page refresh required.

On Mobile

  1. On the mobile Home page, locate the round moon button next to your profile picture in the header.
  2. Tap the button to turn Do Not Disturb on. Tap it again to turn it off.

The Do Not Disturb toggle only appears on the mobile Home header. Your profile picture elsewhere in the app, including on the Options page, still shows the Do Not Disturb badge whenever it is on. You do not need to toggle it again from each screen.

ℹ️ NOTE

Turning Do Not Disturb on or off from one device updates your status live on every other device and session you are signed into, desktop and mobile alike, with no refresh needed.

Where “Do Not Disturb” Appears

Once Do Not Disturb is on for you or a co-worker, a badge appears on that person's profile picture wherever the app already shows their presence:

  • Occupant Directory: Shown on the person's profile picture in their directory entry.
  • Manage Occupant Presence: Shown on the person's profile picture in their row. The existing presence dot is unchanged.
  • Dashboard widgets: Shown on the person's profile picture in the Occupant Presence and Scheduled Occupants widgets.
  • Account avatar: Shown on your own account avatar and its profile popover in the sidebar.
  • Map search: Shown next to the person's presence dot in map search results.
  • Seat details: Shown on the seat's occupant photo where seat details are shown.
  • Mobile People page: Shown on the person's avatar in the People list.
  • Mobile Favorites: Shown on the person's avatar in your Favorites row.
  • Mobile tag member lists: Shown on the person's avatar when viewing members of a shared tag.
  • Person detail views: Shown on the person's profile photo on both desktop and mobile.

Opening a person's profile, on desktop, mobile, or seat signage, also shows how long they have had Do Not Disturb on, in their own time zone. For example, it could read as, “Has Do Not Disturb on since 9:43 AM (Eastern Time)”.

Seat Signage

When a seat's occupant has Do Not Disturb on, the seat's signage display shows a clear Do Not Disturb banner below the occupant's name and title, above the Up Next section.

How “Do Not Disturb” Works with Presence

Do Not Disturb is independent of your presence status. It works alongside your existing status, online, remote, or on leave, rather than replacing it, so co-workers can still see where you are while also knowing not to interrupt you.

💡 TIP

Your Do Not Disturb badge still shows to co-workers even if your presence status is not visible to them, so it is a reliable way to signal availability regardless of your presence visibility settings.
