Account Admin
Account Admin is the highest level user. Users with this access can perform all system functionality, including updating system-wide settings. Because this user has access to make system-wide changes, it is best to keep this permission limited to only one or two high-level, admin users at your organization.
Admin
An Admin user has similar access to an Account Admin. The only difference is this user cannot edit system-wide settings. Note: These are the system-wide reservation and integration settings found in the gear icon in the top right corner of every page.
Maptician recommends that most of your admin-level users be placed in this permission group unless they should have access to change system-wide settings.
General User
A General User has fewer permissions than both the Account Admin and Admin Users. General Users can edit their own profiles, view designated maps within their organization, view all occupants in the directory, have access to a selection of widgets in the dashboard view, and can make reservations throughout their office and others within their organization. Most employees fall under the General User category, unless your organization needs to further customize their permissions.
Limited User
A Limited User is similar to a General User, however, there are additional restrictions placed on their access. While they are able to view their user profile, they are not able to make any major edits to it without approval from an Admin. They can only view maps and occupants specific to their assigned office. While they have access to widgets on their dashboard view, the information is limited to their assigned office locations. Their reservation capabilities are also limited to their assigned office.
Note: Default permission groups cannot be changed. If you need to create a custom permission group, read the article on how to create a custom permission group.
