Maptician's Finder Feature is a modern and innovative approach to the traditional Room Finder, driven by positive feedback from clients. Instead of being limited to just finding available rooms, users can now search for all Maptician resources such as Seats, Parking, Assets, and Lockers with ease.

The Finder Feature was designed with user convenience in mind, as it offers a simple and intuitive interface for finding favorite seats and rooms. To access this feature, simply click on the "Finder" option in the upper navigation bar, which is conveniently marked by a binoculars icon. Give it a try and discover the endless possibilities of the Finder Feature!

Key Features

Finder Feature

For the sake of simple explanations, we will focus on finding a Seat, as it is a highly sought after feature addition. To begin, simply navigate to the Finder feature, located in the upper navigation bar. Within the Finder view, users can select from the following filters, which are populated with client specific attributes (from floorplans and their unique customizations). The filters are as follows and are shown below. 

• Locations Seat 
• Types Available 
• Times
• Equipment and Features

Additionally, please see the highly anticipated Search field, where users can enter the name of the room and/or seat number (attributes in their unique names). For example, if we were to search for seat 27 in our Alpharetta office, any seat with the digits 27 would appear for potential selection.

Pro Tip: This feature requires either Room or Seat reservation permission.

Navigation Options

Next to the Find verbiage, select the applicable Resource. In this instance, Seats are selected. Users, with proper permissions, are able to search for all Resources, by selecting the appropriate type.

Helpful Tips: 

• To move forward in time, select the forward button two buttons to the right of the Today button.
• If filters are added, and need to be removed, users should select Clear all filters, just above the Only Show Favorites, in blue.

Reservation Calendar View

Much like the original version of this feature, if a user is interested in the full Reservation Calendar, simply hover to the right of the resource name and a calendar will appear. See below.
