Download the App
Maptician is available for both iOS and Android. Download it from the App Store or Google Play, then open it from your home screen.

After downloading the app, open it from your home screen and sign in:
- Enter your Organization Name in the field provided.
- If your company uses single sign-on (SSO), choose Sign-In using SSO and follow your organization's process.
- Otherwise, enter your email and password, then tap Log In.

ℹ️ NOTE
If your account is SSO-only, some account controls (such as Change Password) will not appear. Those settings are managed by your identity provider.
Getting Around: The Bottom Navigation
Once you are signed in, you move through the app using the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. It has five tabs:
- Home - Your daily starting point: quick booking actions, your next reservation, favorites, tagged people, and company news.
- Maps - The interactive floor map for finding and reserving rooms, seats, and other resources, and locating people.
- People - The team directory for finding colleagues, viewing profiles, and locating them on the map.
- Calendar - Your upcoming reservations in a weekly calendar or list view.
- Options - Your profile, account settings, and additional tools.
When you open the app, it lands on the Home tab by default.

Home
Home is your daily starting point. It brings together the things you reach for most, so you can act without digging into other tabs first. Home is organized into sections, top to bottom.

Set Your Status (Presence)
At the top of Home, tap your presence badge to set where you are working today. Choose from:
- Onsite - you are in the office today. You can also pick which office.
- Remote - working from elsewhere.
- On Leave - out of office.
- Clear Status - remove your current status.
Tap Confirm to set your status.

Quick Actions
The Quick Actions section gives you one-tap booking:
- Book a Seat - find a desk for your workday.
- Book a Room - find a space for your meeting.

The Quick Book Form
Tapping either of the Book a Seat or Book a Room quick action buttons will open the Quick Book form. Set the office, date, start time, duration, floor or map, features, and (for rooms) type, then tap Find Available Rooms (or Seats). Instead of booking one specific resource, this returns a list of resources matching your criteria that are free for that time. Expanding a resource in the results will display the resources availability and a map with the resource highlighted on it.Tapping on the Book button next to the resource will create the reservation.
After you book, a Reservation Confirmed popup shows the resource, date, time, and (for rooms) attendees. From there you can:
- View on Map - see the reserved resource on the floor plan.
- Edit Reservation - open the reservation form to adjust the booking you just made.

Up Next
The Up Next section shows your current or next reservation for the day. The reservation card shows the reservation title, the time, and the location, each on its own row with a matching icon, along with any attendees and tags. Tap the card to open a full reservation preview. If the reservation starts within the next 45 minutes, it will display a Starting soon chip.

Favorites
The Favorites section collects the rooms, seats, and people that you have marked as favorited (starred). It shows a count of favorited items and up to five favorites at a time, sorted alphabetically.
- Use the type chip in the header (All, Rooms, Seats, or People) to narrow the list to one kind of favorite. The count and list below update to match your selection.
- Tap a favorited room or seat to open a quick-look detail sheet.
- Tap a favorited person to open their person details.
- When there are more favorites of the selected type than fit in the card, tap View all … to open the full scrollable list for that type. This full list carries over whichever type you had selected on Home; it does not have a filter of its own.
If you have not favorited anything yet, you will see "No favorites yet - star a room, seat, or person to see it here." If you have favorites but none match the selected type chip, you will see a message like "No favorited rooms" instead. Favorites you add or remove elsewhere in the app update here automatically.

Favorite Resource Quick-Look
Tapping a favorited room or seat opens a quick-look sheet with two tabs:
- Availability - a 24-hour availability bar showing today's bookings at a glance. A marker on the bar shows the current time. On desktop, hovering over the bar shows a tooltip with the time at your cursor's position. Below the bar, a map thumbnail shows where the resource is.
- Details - for rooms that have a photo, the photo is shown with a capacity badge overlaid on it, followed by the resource's features, equipment, and accessibility information. Seats and rooms without a photo show only the features, equipment, and accessibility information. Capacity is not shown separately.
At the bottom of the sheet:
- View on Map - jumps to the Maps tab centered on that resource. Disabled if the resource is not assigned to a map.
- Book - opens the reservation form pre-filled for that resource (shown when the resource is reservable and you have permission).

My People
The My People section groups colleagues by your tags. It starts with the default tags (To Meet, I’ve Met, My Team, and Peers) plus any custom tags you create, and lets you switch between them using the chip menu. For the selected tag it displays how many of those people are onsite today (for example, "3 of 8 onsite today"), and each person shows their name, title, department, and presence. Tap a person to open their details, or tap See [N] total tag members to view everyone with that tag. If no one is tagged with the selected tag, you will see a message like "No one tagged with “My Team” yet."

Company News
The Company News section lists bulletins your organization has posted, such as announcements, events, new hires, holidays, meetings, trainings, and transfers. Use the chip menu to filter by type. Each bulletin shows any tags, its title, and its date, time, and location where applicable. Tap a bulletin to read it, or tap See all [N] available bulletins to view the full list.
ℹ️ NOTE
Company News appears only if bulletins are enabled for your organization and you have access.

Maps
The Maps tab is your interactive floor plan. From here you can browse the map, search for rooms, seats, and people, apply filters, view location information, and reserve resources directly from your device.
The first time you open the Maps tab, it will show list of results pre-filtered to Rooms, Seats, and Currently Available. Tapping on the Clear button in the results panel will clear all filters and return to the map with the Location Details panel partially open above the bottom navigation bar.

The Map View
Pinch to zoom in and out, and drag to pan across the floor plan. Resources are color-coded to show their current availability. Tap any resource on the map to open its details.
The Search and Controls Bar
At the top of Maps, the search and controls bar gives you quick access to the main tools:
- Search this map - type a resource or person's name to find them. Matching results appear in the results list, and the map highlights the matches (if enabled).
- Select date and time - set a specific date and time to check availability. The map and results update to reflect that window.
- Toggle favorites - show only your favorited (starred) resources on the map and in the results list.
- Filter results - open the Filters panel to narrow what is shown.
When you search or apply filters, matching resources appear in a results list below the bar. Rooms and seats that are currently available show a Quick Reserve button right on their row. For seats, this books the resource immediately through the end of the day. For rooms, it opens the reservation form pre-filled with that room, so you can set the details and confirm.
Highlighting Search Results
When you have search results or filters active, a floating Highlight results button appears. Tap it to highlight the matching resources on the map for quick visual reference. A Fit map button is also available to bring the whole floor plan back into view.
Filters
Tap the filter control to open the Filters panel. Start by choosing one or more resource types under Resources; the rest of the panel's options only appear once at least one specific type is selected (leaving it on "All Resources" shows just the Resources and Date controls). Depending on the resource types you select, the available options include:
- Resources - All Resources, Rooms, Seats, People, Points of Interest, Parking, Assets, and Lockers.
- Status (for reservable resources) - Currently Available, Currently Unavailable, Reservable.
- Capacity (Rooms) - use the slider to set a minimum capacity.
- Features - filter by equipment, accessibility options, and other attributes your organization has configured.
- Department (People) - filter occupants by department.
- Presence (People) - Present at Location, Working Remotely, Currently on Leave, Presence Known.
- Scheduled (People) - Currently Scheduled, Upcoming Scheduled.
- Date - filter results for a specific date and time.
Tap Apply Filters to update the map and list, or Reset to clear them. Active filters appear as tags; tap the X on any tag to remove it individually.
⚠️ IMPORTANT
If you filter by multiple resource types at once, some filter options may be hidden when they do not apply to all of the selected types.

Switching Maps
Use the map selector to open the Available Maps list. Maps are grouped by location. Tap any map to switch to it.

Location Details
The Location Details panel sits at the bottom of the map. Swipe it up to expand it. As you slide it open, the small location photo smoothly expands into a full-width header image; slide it back down and the image collapses back to a thumbnail.
Location Details can include:
- Address - tap to open it in maps, or copy it.
- Office Manager.
- Reception - phone, email, and fax, where available.
- Wifi - guest network name and password, each with a copy button.
- Parking information.
- Additional Information your organization has provided.
When a location has more than one map, a note near the top of the panel shows how many maps are available there - use the map selector described above to switch between them.

Resource Details
Tapping a resource on the map or in the list opens its details panel. What you see depends on the resource type. Room and seat details show status, capacity, accessibility information, features, and equipment, along with a Reservation calendar you can open to view the full schedule. If a resource's reservations are limited to certain departments, groups, or individuals, that restriction is called out here as well.

Reserving a Resource Directly
A resource that is currently available shows a one-tap reserve button - Quick Reserve on its row in the results list, or Reserve Today (Reserve [date], if you have selected a different date) inside its own details. Both trigger the same action for that exact resource, without a separate search step:
- For rooms, this opens the reservation form pre-filled with that room, where you set the title, owner, start and end date/time, buffer time, and (optionally) a conference URL, then confirm.
- For seats and other resources, tapping Reserve books the resource immediately through the end of that day - there is no form to fill out. If you are looking at a future date, you may be asked to choose between reserving the whole day or starting from a specific time.

Resource Reservation Calendar
From a room or seat's details panel, tap Reservation calendar to see that resource's full schedule. From the reservation calendar you can view, edit, and cancel reservations that you own, or create a new one by tapping the + button in the bottom-right corner. All other functionality of the reservation calendar works exactly as described in the Viewing and Managing a Reservation section below.

People
The People tab is the team directory. Search by name, browse the list, filter, or use the favorites toggle to jump to people you have saved.

Finding People
- Search people - type a name, email, title, or office to filter the directory.
- Location - a dropdown right in the search bar for jumping straight to a specific office, separate from the Filters panel below.
- Toggle favorites - show only the people you have favorited.
- Filter results - narrow the directory by Location, Department, Tags, Presence, or Scheduled status.
Each person shows their name, title, department, and presence. If no one matches, you will see "No people found."

Locating a Person
Tap a person in the list to expand a preview showing where they are, with options to View on map or View profile. If they have no assigned location, the preview says so.

Person Details
Opening a person shows their name, title, and office in the header, with a star to add them to your Favorites, and their details across four tabs below it:
- Profile - pronouns, local time, and contact information such as office phone, mobile number, email, and LinkedIn.
- Find - their ongoing and upcoming room and seat locations, so you can see where they are or will be.
- About - what they do, an "About Me" section, any other attributes your organization has configured, and any personality profiles they have shared (DISC, CliftonStrengths, Myers-Briggs, and Enneagram).
- Notes - private notes and tags you keep about this person for your own reference. You can add, edit, and delete notes and tags here.

Calendar
The Calendar tab helps you view and manage your reservations. It offers two views, which you can switch between using the options menu in the header:
- Calendar View - a weekly calendar. Navigate between weeks, and tap a day to see its reservations. Days with reservations are marked.
- List View - your reservations as a filterable and scrollable list.

Searching the Calendar
Tap the search icon in the header to search your reservations; this always opens in List View, even if you were in Calendar View. If there is nothing to show, the calendar indicates "No reservations for this period" for an empty day within an otherwise active range, or "Nothing matches your filters" when the whole selected range comes up empty.
Viewing and Managing a Reservation
In Calendar View, tapping any reservation - upcoming or past - opens a preview showing its time, title, owner, and location. In List View, tapping an upcoming reservation goes straight into the edit form, while tapping a past one opens the same read-only preview.
From the preview or the edit form, you can edit or cancel an upcoming reservation; cancelling asks you to confirm first (Yes, cancel it / No, keep it).
ℹ️ NOTE
Reservations that have already ended are view-only. The Edit and Cancel options are hidden once a reservation's end time has passed.

Resource Calendars
When you open a specific resource's calendar (for example, from a room's details on the Maps tab), the Calendar header shows that resource's type and name (for example, "Room - Conference A"), its location, and its timezone. Unlike your own calendar, a resource's calendar can include reservations made by other people - only ones you own can be edited or cancelled from here. A floating + button also lets you create a new reservation directly on that resource, if you have permission to reserve it. Tap the close control to return to your own calendar.
Options
The Options tab provides access to your profile, account settings, and additional tools. Your name and presence appear at the top; tap your presence to set your status.
Profile
Your Profile shows your full account information - name, title, department, office, employee ID, and more. A handful of fields, such as your preferred first name, pronouns, and cell phone number, can be edited from your device (your organization may lock some of these). Everything else is shown for reference only. Tap Save to keep your changes.

Social
The Social section lets you share more about yourself with optional fields, including What I Do, About Me, Skills, LinkedIn, and personality profiles: DISC Profile, CliftonStrengths, Myers-Briggs, and Enneagram. Tap Save to update.

Preferences
The Preferences section is where you manage your personal app settings. Tap Save to keep your choices.
Parcel Management
If enabled for your organization, Parcel Management lets you log and track parcels through New, Waiting, and Completed lists. You can attach a photo, mark a parcel Delivered, Returned, Lost, or Abandoned, and open a parcel to see its info, notes, and activity log. A Settings view lets you configure mail room, default carrier, and notification preferences for email/SMS reminders.
➡️ How do I route and track a parcel? (Mobile)
Change Password
Tap Change Password to update your login credentials. You will enter your old password and a new one. Your new password must:
- Contain 8 to 15 characters
- Contain at least one number
- Contain at least one uppercase and lowercase letter
- Not contain any of these characters:
" , ; & ' |
ℹ️ NOTE
Change Password does not appear if your organization uses SSO-only sign-in.

Legal
The Legal section provides links to your organization's legal and privacy documents.
App Version and Logout
At the bottom of Options you will find the Version button and the Logout button. Tapping Version checks for an update; if you are already up to date, tap it again to force-refresh the app. Logging out asks you to confirm, then returns you to the login screen.
