Upload Visitor Profile Image

The article below illustrates the different ways images can be uploaded for visitors that way they can be used for verification during the check-in process or even be printed onto a badge.

Creating/editing a visit

  1. When creating or editing a visitor in a visit, click the image box where it says Click to upload an image.
  1. That will bring up your device's file management system.
  2. Select an image file in one of the supported file types:  .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, or .svg
  3. Once you have selected the image, it will open in the image cropping window as shown below.
    1. Adjust the Crop Box: Drag the corners or edges of the blue box to adjust which part of the image will be saved. Move the box to center the visitor’s face if needed.
    2. Rotate (optional): Use the curved arrow buttons to rotate the image left or right.
    3. Reset: Click the Reset button if you want to undo your cropping or rotation changes and start over.
    4. Crop & Save: Click this to crop and save the image based on your selection.
    5. Cancel: Click Cancel to exit without saving the image.
  1. IMPORTANT: The visitor’s profile image will not be saved unless you click Crop & Save after adjusting the image.
    1. If this step is not performed, the profile image will not be configured for the visitor.
  2. Now that the image is being applied to the user, you will see a preview of the visitor's profile after it has been cropped.
  3. If you need to change or adjust the profile image, click the image box again, re-upload the same or a new image, and repeat the cropping process.

Editing the visitor's profile

  1. In Maptician, navigate to Visitor Mgmt > Manage Visitors.
  2. Click on the visitor you want to make the edit for.
  3. Select the Edit button towards the top of the screen.
  1. If a visitor does NOT have a previously uploaded image, click the image box where it says Click to upload an image.
    1. If a visitor does have a previously uploaded image, click on the image that was previously uploaded.
  2. That will bring up your device's file management system.
  3. Select an image file in one of the supported file types: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, or .svg

Important Note

When updating the visitor's information from the Manage Visitor's screen, if the visitor has a future visit that was created before this update was made, the newly added/updated image will NOT be reflected on their upcoming visit. This will also have to be done directly on the upcoming visit.
